Team owner, crew chief and champion racer John Finke has long been a force in NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster. Finke was first introduced to the sport of drag racing as an adolescent, when his brother Rob took him to a race event at historic ‘Englishtown’ (Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, in New Jersey). From that initial moment, John has pursued his passion and love for drag racing. John has made his mark in the NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster race category, winning 2 East Region championships, and earning 11 regional event titles, multiple Jeg’s All Star berths, and 3 NHRA National Event titles. Jackie Fricke is the force behind the wheel of Finke Racing’s second A/Fuel Dragster. She is no stranger to high speeds and competitive sports. Fricke began attending the drag races at age 5 with her father, Rich, a regular participant of the NHRA Summit ET Series. Following in her father’s footsteps, Fricke began bracket-style drag racing at the age of 16. She has successfully won various Big Money Bracket Races as well as NHRA National events. From a young age, Fricke knew that she wanted to compete in the Top Alcohol ranks. In 2008, she transitioned to a supercharged alcohol dragster under the guidance of Tom Jones and, eventually, Joe Cantrell. Five years later, Fricke says she “hit the drag racing lottery,” when she was able to team up with and race alongside her good friend, John Finke. This duo has proven to be a successful package. Since joining Finke Racing, Fricke has earned many firsts, including a Jegs Allstar Championship and 4 Regional Championships. Fricke is a multi-time NHRA National and Regional event winner.
Fricke competes at NHRA National and Regional events for Finke Racing, and is joined at the races by her Husband, Shawn, who is a multi-time NHRA Northeast Division champion. Fricke is also fortunate to have the support of her family (many of them who also drag race); especially her sister, Amy, who is a crew member on Finke Racing. Learn more here.
